Note: This health care interactive was published on Richmond Confidential in early October. I conceptualized, designed and programed the Flash interactive myself. My colleague Chris Connelly researched and wrote the majority of the content. The Affordable Care Act was over a thousand pages long, and we found that people had a hard time figuring out how they would be affected by the first phase of legislation that kicked in on Sep. 23. Through a series of questions, the interactive informs the user what their health care options are and how they are affected by the new health care reforms. This was accompanied by a longer written piece, visible on RichmondConfidential.org, explaining more details about the legislation.
